This work is part of a bigger project called ‘Boaz’ and is a collaboration with the artist Dor Guez.

I found this relic in the ruins of my grandfather’s publishing house in the Island of Djerba. The relic is an iron impression that was modified several times, including by my grandfather. It was used for stamping books.
After cleaning it I did a new ink sketch from the image, modifying it again by adding another face inside. Then I created a stamp, bigger in 2/3 from the original one, and stamped six papers with different highlights. Due to the stamp nature is was not only modified, but also flipped. The stamp, as on object, remained identical to the relic.
