The Good Seven Years

The book combines visual art works, a visual research of Jewish Tunisia, texts related to the work and contemporary visual insights of an ancient Jewish community in the Arab world.

The book discusses unwritten traditions, artworks, a visual research through food, synagogues, Jewish-Tunisian language and everyday life as reflected in the last seven years the artist spent in Tunisia.

The book includes a biographical essay by Dr Yigal Shalom Nizri, which you can read in English or French in an easy-to-read format.

The cover is made of blue Windsor Ulston fabric from Ratchford and features a hand drawing in white of a hand holding five fish, an evil eye mascot from Djerba.

The book was offset printed by Simpact in Tunis.
