History Class - 2023

Mosaic, one of Tunisia’s valorized artforms, is part of Carthaginian history, Roman history and even contemporary history. In all these histories the role of Jews, Black people and above all women is absent. One woman is my grandmother, Khamsana. The mosaic was done based on a photo I took of her in 2005. The other woman is Halima, the mother of Lotfi Ghariani who took this photo from a video.
